$250 a week, Ages 6-12, Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm, Glen Echo Park MD, Weeks of June 17-August 26 (No Camp week of July 15)

For over 20 years this camp has worked in cooperation with the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture, the National Park Service and Montgomery County, MD.

Create fantastic objects: silkscreen prints, handmade books, marbleized paper, plaster fossils, terra cotta sculptures, and color wheels on real canvas. Take one or more week-long camp sessions with a professional painter/art educator. Learn fundamentals like color, shape, line and texture, while enjoying the park, its beautiful carousel and art deco buildings. Returning campers get new challenges and alternative projects. Studio fee payable to instructor at first class: $50 for full camp weeks and $40 for short July 1st week. Tuition includes $50 nonrefundable deposit. Registration info: glenechopark.org/classes

Carousel of Animals for Teens

$260 for the week, Ages 13-18, Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm, Glen Echo Park, Jul 15-19

Create a life sized papier mâché carousel animal with real or imaginary creatures while learning from a professional artist and art educator. Learn about 3D design, armatures, proportion, sculpting and painting. Studio fee of $65 payable to instructor at first class. Tuition includes $50 non-refundable deposit.
