Watercolor Basics

Description:
Slow down and sharpen your eye through the timeless practice of painting in watercolor. In this relaxed studio class, students will work from landscape imagery and thoughtfully arranged objects to explore composition, light, color, and form. Instruction will focus on translating observation into expressive, layered watercolor paintings while developing techniques such as dry-brush, wet-on-wet, and controlled detail work. Students may follow structured guidance or pursue independent studies with individualized feedback. This class emphasizes careful looking, artistic decision-making, and a thoughtful, fine-art approach to watercolor.

Figure Drawing

Description:
Relaxed workshop for beginners to advanced. Develop an understanding of human anatomy, proportion, and gesture through classical figure drawing study using a life model. Working in graphite, charcoal, and ink, students will focus on line, movement, and form to capture the expressive qualities of the human body. Model fee included. Students under 18 welcome but you and your parent/guardian must obtain instructor permission prior to enrollment.

Acrylic Landscape Painting

This relaxed, fine-arts–focused sculpture class is open to beginners through advanced students. Artists will create figure studies or busts while working from a live model, personal reference photos, sketches, or through guided, structured instruction. Students are encouraged to develop their own ideas while building foundational skills in form, proportion, and surface. Finished works may be fired.
