In accordance with the most recent stay at home orders for Montgomery County, the Decorative and Fine Arts Camp in partnership with Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture has canceled on-site activities through August 30, 2020. In place of our traditional camp we will be offering a virtual camp experience.

Learn fundamentals like color, shape, line and texture! The box will have 5 fantastic projects, that come with five instructional videos, one for every day of the week. Included are Zoom classes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. Boxes will be available for contactless pick-up under the Marquee Sundays from 10am-1pm. Contact Emma Cowan for more details.

This year the Carousel of Animals Camp is coming to you… in a box! Your child can create fantastic sculptures, a miniature carousel, a large papier maché sculpture, and more! Learn fundamental sculpture techniques like basic paper construction and plaster casting! The box will have 5 fantastic projects, that come with five instructional videos, one for every day of the week. Included are Zoom classes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoon. Beachy Art Bundle!!

$125, Ages 3-5, Includes one box of art supplies, five instructional videos and Zoom story times Monday-Friday, 9:30am-10am, July 20th-24th, 2020

Miss Emma offers a beach-themed art and sensory experience camp for the park’s youngest campers…virtually! This camp is great for younger siblings of our decorative fine arts campers as well as other younger campers. Your child will engage in sensory experiences as well as process-based art projects. The box will have 5 fantastic projects paired with five instructional videos, one for every day of the week! Included are Zoom story times every morning from 9:30am-10am. Boxes will be available for contactless pick-up under the Marquee at Glen Echo Park Sundays from 10am-1pm.

Decorative and Fine Arts Camp

$260 a week, Ages 6-12, Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm, Glen Echo Park MD, Weeks of July 20-August 24

The Decorative and Fine Arts Camp has worked in cooperation with the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture, the National Park Service and Montgomery County, MD for over 20 years.

At the Decorative and Fine Arts Camp your child can create fantastic objects, silkscreen prints, handmade books, marbleized paper, plaster fossils, terra cotta sculptures, and color wheels on real canvas. Learn fundamentals like color, shape, line and texture, while enjoying the park, it’s beautiful carousel and art deco buildings. Take one or more week-long camp sessions. Returning campers get new challenges and alternative projects. Studio fee of $40 payable to instructor at first class. Tuition includes $50 nonrefundable deposit.

Middle/High School Sculpture Camp

This camp is a unique opportunity for any teen who is interested in sculpture, architecture, even engineering! I am really excited to see what amazing creatures everyone makes this year!

Jul 13-17, $260 for the week, Ages 12-16, Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm, Glen Echo Park

At the Carousel of Animals Camp your teen will create a life sized papier mâché carousel animal of real or imaginary creatures while learning from a professional artist and art educator. Learn about 3D design, armatures, proportion, sculpting and painting. Studio fee of $65 payable to instructor at first class. Tuition includes $50 non-refundable deposit.
