Deco Arts Camp Has a New Home — Welcome to Emma’s Art Studio!
Emma’s Art Studio 4931 Cordell Ave. 2A Bethesda, MD 20814
Big news: Deco Arts Camp is moving into its very own dedicated space — Emma’s Art Studio! After years of joyful, creative summers at Glen Echo Park, we’re thrilled to announce that our beloved fine-arts summer camp now has a permanent home designed specifically for kids, creativity, and making art.
And yes — summer camp registration is officially OPEN!
Emma’s Art Studio Designed for Artists of All Ages
Emma’s Art Studio is a bright, welcoming, professional art space created with intention. It’s not a craft room or a pop-up classroom — it’s a real studio where students feel like artists the moment they walk in. With dedicated areas for painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media (plus thoughtful storage and room to move!), the new studio allows Deco Arts Camp to offer an even richer, calmer, and more focused experience for both children and teens.
What Makes Deco Arts Camp Special
Deco Arts Camp has always been rooted in fine art. Campers are taught real techniques by an experienced art educator and are encouraged to take creative risks, problem-solve, and develop confidence in their own ideas.
This summer’s programming includes:
- 🎨 Painting & Drawing — exploring materials, color, and observation
- 🧱 Clay & Sculpture — hand-building techniques and 3D thinking
- ✂️ Mixed Media & Collage — layering, texture, and experimentation
- 🖌️ Process-Based Projects — emphasizing growth, skill, and self-expression
Each day balances structured instruction with creative freedom, making it ideal for kids who love art and kids who are discovering it for the first time.
Teen Art Camps: Serious Studio Time for Young Artists
In addition to our beloved elementary camps, Emma’s Art Studio is proud to offer dedicated Teen Art Camps designed specifically for older students who want a deeper, more challenging studio experience.
Teen camps focus on:
- Advanced drawing and painting techniques
- Concept development and creative problem-solving
- Working independently while receiving individualized feedback
- Building confidence, focus, and artistic voice
These camps are ideal for middle and high school students who love art, want to sharpen their skills, or are beginning to think about portfolios. Teens work in a supportive studio environment that respects their ideas, encourages experimentation, and treats them like the serious young artists they are.
A Full, Joyful Camp Day
Deco Arts Camp runs with a school-day rhythm — focused, engaging, and supportive. Campers bring a lunch and snack (we make time for both), work in small groups, and spend the day immersed in meaningful creative work. It’s a great fit for children and teens who no longer need a rest period and are ready for a full, enriching day in the studio.
Why Families Love It
Parents consistently tell us their children and teens leave camp feeling:
- Proud of their artwork
- More confident in their ideas
- Calm, happy, and creatively fulfilled
And now, with a permanent studio space, Deco Arts Camp can offer an even higher level of consistency, quality, and care for artists of all ages.
